There is a steadiness about Emma Rikel, a grounded warmth that fills the room. She carries the kind of presence that makes women exhale, the kind that says you’re safe, you’re seen, and you’re supported here. Her life is full, layered, and beautifully complex: business owner, mentor, birth doula, wife, mother, and leader of a growing community of women across Georgia. Yet somehow, she moves through each role with a calm conviction that feels both rare and deeply rooted.

While living in West Texas, as a young mom in college, pursuing a degree in agribusiness and equine industry. Emma struggled to find community. When she stepped into a small tea shop for a mommy‑and‑me workout, she had no idea her entire life was about to shift. She tried a tea, reluctantly at first, and went home feeling energized for the first time in a long time. Emma shared, “I cleaned my whole house… I felt amazing.” That moment sparked a journey she never expected. What began as a simple wellness choice quickly became a business opportunity. Emma started sharing the products from home, earning extra money. But life changed abruptly when her mother was diagnosed with cancer. As an only child, she knew she needed to come home. It was during that transition and trying to figure out what was next that the owner of the nutrition club showed her what opening her own location would look like. Emma recognized the opportunity immediately. “We had no plan B,” she said. “We were just going open up a store and make it work.” And they did!
Three Rivers Nutrition took off quickly, becoming a hub of wellness, encouragement, and connection. Women walked in for a shake and found community. They came for nutrition coaching and found confidence. They asked questions and found someone who listened. As the business grew, other women began asking how they could open their own locations. Emma took them under her wing, teaching them everything she had learned, including startup costs, leadership, hiring, training, and the heart behind building a space where women feel welcome.
Today, she mentors a network of nearly ten locations across Georgia, each one owned by a woman who once stood where Emma stood: hopeful, uncertain, ready for something new. Her leadership is not transactional; it’s deeply relational. She sees women, their strengths, their fears, their potential, and helps them build something they can be proud of.
Emma’s calling didn’t stop there. After experiencing three very different births of her own, she felt a pull toward something deeper. She found herself unexpectedly at home in hospital settings. She prayed for clarity, unsure of what this stirring meant. Then, at a women’s conference, a speaker said, “Some of y’all are meant to be doulas and midwives to help other women birth new things into the kingdom.” Emma instantly felt a full‑body confirmation. She knew God was calling her into birth work.
She became a certified birth doula and launched Kingdom Birthing, where she now walks alongside women through pregnancy, labor, delivery, and postpartum. Her work is tender, spiritual, and profoundly impactful. She teaches women about their options, advocates for them in hospital rooms, and helps them feel empowered in moments that can feel overwhelming.
One of her most meaningful experiences came with a mother, whose parents had passed away, was attempting an unmedicated VBAC after two traumatic C‑sections. When fear overtook her, Emma held her face, spoke scripture over her, and helped her find her strength again. She delivered successfully and later told Emma she had witnessed her operating in her God‑given calling.
The heart of Emma’s work is showing up for women in the moments that matter most.
Her two worlds, entrepreneurship and birth work, complement each other more than she ever expected. Both center around coaching women, meeting them where they are, and helping them step into a healthier, more confident version of themselves. Whether it’s a college student needing a big‑sister figure, a postpartum mom wanting to “get her pink back,” or a woman searching for her calling, Emma has lived enough seasons to connect with them all.

When asked what being an empowered woman means to her, Emma said, “Having confidence in who you are… knowing that you’re walking in your calling. Even if I feel insecure or inadequate, if I’m being obedient to the call on my life, then I know I’m making a difference.” Her definition is simple, honest, and deeply reflective of the way she lives.
Her advice for women who feel stuck is equally grounded: find something that brings you joy, don’t be afraid to mess up, and take small steps to care for yourself. “People are watching you, but not as much as you think,” she said. “They’re watching you as inspiration, not judgment.” And if you’re overwhelmed, she reminds women to start with the basics, take a shower, brush your teeth, step outside, breathe.
Emma Rikel is an empowered woman because of how she continuously empowers others. She builds businesses, births confidence, advocates for women, and creates spaces where they feel capable, supported, and seen. Her life is a testament to obedience, courage, and the beauty of walking boldly into the calling God places on your heart.
